Condolence: Dear Steve and family, I am sorry to hear of such a loss. I speak of Gerry often even after all these years! My fondest memory of him is when I hit a deer just outside of Almonte en route to visit Steve (and have him help me with my GED's [that family....always willing to help]). Arriving at the Poaps house, I was a crying mess. While Steve whisked me away to track the possibly wounded deer, Gerry, then in his 80's, ventured out in the blizzard and tried to fix the front grill of the truck. His strength, generosity and quite demeanor spoke volumes of what kind of amazing man he was. I am sure each of us has a story like this about Gerry tucked into our hearts.How lucky we are to have such a spirit with us for so long. Missing you and thinking of you, Steph Yuill
